Shaken Baby Prevention of Idaho is a 501 (c) (3) non profit organization. The mission of Shaken Baby Prevention of Idaho is to get increased education and awareness out to Idahoans about the dangers of shaking a child, give people tools to deal with the frustrations that can come with taking care of a baby, especially crying, and be a support system for other families that have or unfortunately may have to go through this preventable tragedy in the future.
Shaken baby syndrome (SBS) is on the rise in Idaho and throughout the country. I have seen firsthand how damaging shaking a baby can be. I have also gone through the emotional roller coaster one goes through after knowing that the person you trusted to watch your precious baby has harmed them. I do not want the pain my daughter endured to be in vain. That is why I share her story and try to educate everyone I know on shaken baby syndrome. SBS is 100% preventable and the best way to prevent it is through education and awareness, and that is what I intend to do.
